[Lab Preparation] Dr Qian Peter SU designed the logo for QIAN SU LAB The Laboratory of Quantitative Imaging at Nanoscale with SUper-resolution (QIAN SU LAB). The design idea for the logo is "Q" for Qian and "S" for Su, "Q" for Quantitative Imaging (research focus) and "S" for Super-resolution (main technology), the right side of Q and the S wrap together as a DNA double helix bone and indicate life, the left side of Q as an opitcal lens sheds rainbow spectrum lights onto DNA and the lights also serves as the DNA base pairs. Taking together, our research interest is to bridge biomedical engineering and biophysical nanotools with fundamental sciences, by applying advanced imaging methods to quantitatively pinpoint the molecular secrets during important biological processes, like chromatin structure and DNA replication, intra-cellular membrane dynamics and cardiovascular diseases.
