MIX BAG - ​Responsible Conduct of Research

The 8 Principles of responsible research conduct are:
  • HONESTY  in the development, undertaking and reporting of research. 
  • RIGOUR  in the development, undertaking and reporting of research. 
  • TRANSPARENCY  in declaring interest and reporting research methodologies, data and findings. 
  • FAIRNESS  in the treatment of others.
  • RESPECT  for research participants, the wider community, animals and the environment.
  • RECOGNITION  of the right of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to be engaged in research that affects or is of significance to them.
  • ACCOUNTABILITY  for the development, undertaking and reporting of research.
  • PROMOTION  of responsible research practices.

QIAN SU LAB - Lab Rules
  • In this lab, Mistakes are Expected, Respected, Inspected and Corrected; Diversity is also respected and recommended.
  • Follow the University Policy, Faculty Policy and School Policy, and lastly, Lab Policy (some could be stupid).
  • Health and safety is always the first priority, anything related to WHS needs to be reported to Group Leader immediately as first contact. 
  • Show respect to the discussion notes, literature and ideas sharing, eg. written evidence has to be endorsed by all the parties. 
  • BE ON TIME !!! BE ON TIME !!! BE ON TIME !!! Show respect to deadlines, Practice respect for yourself and others.
  • Be a good listener. Criticise ideas, not people. Help others when you can.
